Easily Digestible Protein – Balanced Amino Acid Profile – Muscle Recovery – Electrolytes
Cavalor Sportmash Recup is a mash rich in protein to support recovery after exertion. This mash provides high-quality proteins that, due to their high digestibility and specific amino acid profile, optimally contribute to muscle recovery after training or competition. Soaking the mash ensures additional fluid intake. It also contains electrolytes (Sodium, Potassium, and Chloride) to replenish the losses from sweating.
More important than the total protein content is its digestibility. For example, the protein in soy is 50-80% digestible, while the protein in hay is significantly lower. The better the protein is digested, the less is needed to provide sufficient amino acids. Cavalor Sportmash Recup contains highly digestible protein sources, including soy, potato protein, alfalfa, and wheat feed flour, allowing the total protein content to remain moderate.
The specific composition provides an amino acid profile that closely resembles the muscle protein of the horse. The quantity and correct ratio of these amino acids are crucial for proper muscle development and recovery. For muscle tissue to build effectively, all amino acids must be present in the right amounts and ratios. If even one amino acid is missing, the muscle-building process slows down.
A horse is only in top form if its muscles are too. The equine body consists of more than 700 muscles, each with its function. When a horse trains, small tears occur in the muscle fibers. These are not harmful but are part of the natural muscle-building process. However, they must be repaired. Muscles primarily consist of protein. To restore muscle fibers after exertion, the right building blocks—proteins in this case—must be available in the proper amounts. High-quality proteins provide essential building blocks for optimal muscle recovery.
Sweating is healthy for a horse, as it helps with faster cooling. During intense work, a horse can lose up to 15 liters of fluid per hour. However, sweat consists not only of water but also minerals and other essential components. One significant effect of sweating is the loss of large amounts of minerals, also known as electrolytes. Without replenishing these lost minerals, performance may decline, muscles may become sore, and the horse could even experience exhaustion. Sodium, Potassium, and Chloride help compensate for the electrolytes lost through sweating, contributing to optimal recovery after exertion.
The foundation of good horse nutrition is sufficient roughage and fresh drinking water at all times. Supplement this base with concentrated feed or a balancer as needed. Use supplements for fine-tuning.
To prepare Sportmash Recup, mix 1 part mash with 2 parts water (60°C). Let it soak for 30 minutes.
Recommended feeding amount: 120 g per 100 kg of body weight.
For a 600 kg horse, this means 720 g.
Feed Cavalor Sportmash Recup within 30 minutes after training or competition to support optimal recovery.
