"Airsafe" Airbag Vest

France is the first country to adopt a standard for the manufacturing of equestrian airbags (PPE – Personal Protective Equipment). While awaiting European harmonization, this standard, NF S72-800-2022, offers riders enhanced protection by regulating the protective surface, inflation speed, and imposing stricter impact tests for the vests.

The EQUITHÈME AIRSAFE Airbag, developed by FREEJUMP, is an airbag designed specifically for equestrian sports. It is worn close to the body, over a thin layer of clothing such as a T-shirt or a lightweight sweater. This airbag protects vital areas of the rider.

Compatible jackets bear the "Freejump Airbag Technology" emblem.

Protection areas:

• Neck, back, lower back, sacrum, pelvis, chest.
• Optimized neck protection for use with a certified riding helmet.
• Continuous hip protection for perfect alignment of the torso.
• Chest protection tailored to each size (24% of chest circumference and 100% of shoulder-to-waist length).
• Back protection also tailored to each size (20% of chest circumference and 120% of shoulder-to-waist length).
• Improved protection of the spine and vital organs thanks to two different torso heights per size for XS-S-M-L (Regular Fit / Slim Fit).

Performance:

• Inflation speed of 98 ms*.
  The AIRBAG EQUITHÈME AIRSAFE achieves the required pressure for optimal protection in just 98 ms* and exceeds the impact tests of the AFNOR NF S78-800-2022 standard for an adult size S.

Comfort:

• Close-fitting design for better protection and +10% perforated fabric for improved ventilation.
• 100% Italian breathable and comfortable fabric.
• Flexible back plate for reduced discomfort at the ribs.
• Y-buckle: high-quality textile buckle. It is lighter and eliminates noise from the elastic strap.

Activation system:

• The gas generator in the EQUITHÈME airbags is the most efficient on the market. It is lightweight and compact.
• Re-activation is simplified by a guiding cap for unscrewing and tightening: easy re-activation and prevention of cap loss. The ball fitting clip ensures safe and easy attachment of the strap.
• A QR code on the FREEJUMP cartridges provides access to an instructional video for reassembling the new cartridge after an accident or accidental activation.

Compatible clothing:

• Compatible garments are certified according to the AFNOR NF S78-800-2022 standard.
• Jackets compatible with the EQUITHÈME AIRSAFE airbag must carry the label "FREEJUMP AIRBAG TECHNOLOGY - COMPATIBLE JACKET".

Cartridges:

• The AIRSAFE vests are approved for use only with FREEJUMP cartridges. There are 3 cartridge sizes available:
  • 50CC (For children's sizes S and L)
  • 60CC (For sizes from XXS to L)
  • 85CC (For sizes LT-XL-XXL)

Care and storage:

• Do not machine wash or dry clean. Do not immerse in water. It is recommended to clean the airbag vest by hand with a sponge and mild soap, without scrubbing.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Do not iron.
• Do not expose the airbag vest to high temperatures (on a radiator, near an open flame, or in a closed vehicle in direct sunlight).
• Do not store the airbag vest folded or rolled up for extended periods.
• Store the vest on a hanger in a dry place, protected from moisture.

NOTE:

• The children's airbag vest is suitable for individuals weighing at least 25 kg.
• The adult airbag vest from size XXS is suitable for individuals who are at least 1.45 m tall and weigh 35 kg or more.

Product warranty:

• The European warranty for the product is 2 years.
• An additional 2 years of warranty are provided if the product is registered on the website www.freejumpsystem.com/enregistrement-des-produits/. Additionally, one free inspection is offered within the first 2 years from the date of purchase.
