Description:

This double broken water snaffle has a spiral stainless steel roller in the center of the mouthpiece. This roller encourages your horse to play with it and this creates higher tongue activity. This causes your horse to produce more saliva, which results in better acceptance of the bit and a relaxed feeling.

Product Features:

The Sweet Iron bits are made of blue steel and emit a sweet-tasting surface rust through contact with saliva. This sweet taste stimulates the natural salivation, causing the horse to foam more and accept the bit better.

The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth, providing gentle and even pressure distribution. With a double broken bit, the mouthpiece consists of three parts with the middle part lying flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single broken mouthpiece. The thicker the middle part, the more pressure on the tongue.

A bust bit has rings that do not rotate freely, therefore aids act more directly. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece sits relatively firmly in the mouth.

Maintenance:

If a Sweet Iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust film may develop on the mouthpiece. This can be easily removed by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
