Fager Jack is a good choice if you would describe your horse as follows;
Inconsistent in the connection.
Responds slowly to your aids.
Feels stiff and tight.
Sensitive to rod pressure.
Jack is a double-jointed Sweet Iron bit.
The Sweet Iron material oxidizes and rusts naturally during use. This oxidation process creates a 'sweet' taste that promotes saliva. If you are looking for more contact in the hand, we recommend the use of a Sweet Iron bit, as the taste encourages the horse to actively seek contact.
The shape of the mouthpiece, combined with the short midsection, eliminates any disruption to the palate, as the breakover is placed to the outside of the tongue.
The Roller gives your horse something to play with, making Jack a good choice to try out if the horse feels stiff in the mouth.
Jack is a very versatile bit and fits many different horses, which is why it's definitely worth a try
Don't be surprised if this becomes your horse's new favorite!
Please note; Jack has the same mouthpiece as Jacob. Jack is the snaffle version = normal snaffle rings. Jacob is the bradoon version = smaller rings.
