The Kentucky Quilted Chest Expander with Vegan Sheepskin is the solution for horses that need a little more space or comfort at the front of their blanket. This padded chest extender enlarges the chest area of your blanket and prevents pressure spots or chafing – ideal for wider horses, young horses in development or during the winter when you use multiple layers.

The outside is made of durable, lined quilting material which perfectly matches the Kentucky blankets, while the inside is finished with super soft artificial sheepskin (vegan sheepskin) to protect the skin and increase wearing comfort.

Does your horse need a little more space at the chest? Our Chest Extender ensures that every blanket fits perfectly. Our Chest Extender is universal and fits blankets with the same type of closure (such as the Horseware Amigo blanket).

The Chest Extender is perfect for horses with a wide chest or horse breeds such as the Quarter Horse.

Fabrics & materials
The outside of the Chest Widener quilted The Vegan Wool is made of 600D polyester and has a diamond patterned stitching. This makes the Chest Widener a perfect match for our Stable Blanket. The fabric on the outside is tear-resistant. The inside of the Chest Reducer is made of our artificial wool, which is also used for our well-known Sheepskin Shipping Halter. This makes it feel extremely soft.

In addition to the standard closure, there is also a Velcro closure to ensure that the Chest Extender stays in place.

Shape & size
This Chest Extender quilted with Vegan Wool provides 19cm extra at the chest of the horse. The distance between the two closures is 12 cm.

Care tips
Machine washable
Most of our products are machine washable at 30 degrees. However, we recommend washing them as little as possible and, when you do, using our laundry bags to preserve the quality of your item for a long time. We also recommend the use of professional machines (larger capacity) to limit the damage of sticking together. To dry, simply hang the product during a sunny day. Use of the dryer is not recommended.
