This stirrup is part of LeMieux’s leading Vector collection, where elegant design and advanced technology come together for an exceptional riding experience. The Vector Control features a smart side-opening safety mechanism that automatically opens under pressure to release the foot – and then closes magnetically. The straight footbed with deep grip ensures maximum stability, ideal for riders seeking a quiet, fixed leg position. What makes the Vector Control Stirrup unique? ✅ Safety mechanism: side opens upon fall and clicks back automatically – for added assurance ⚙️ Straight, anti-slip footbed: with deep grooves for optimal grip and control Shock-absorbing design: reduces strain on ankles, knees, and hips Lightweight aluminum body: strong and elegant Wide foot support (120 mm): for extra support during long rides or variable ground Magnetic closure: operates smoothly, reliable, and easy to maintain Technical specifications: Weight: approx. 500 g per stirrup Footbed width: approx. 120 mm Material: Aerospace-grade aluminum + stainless steel grip plate Suitable for: Jumping, eventing, training, recreation Colors: Available in multiple shades such as black, silver, titanium, and seasonal colors Maintenance tip: Regularly clean – be mindful of sand and dirt in the hinge mechanism For riders who leave nothing to chance – the LeMieux Vector Control Stirrup offers safety, stability, and control with every step. Integrated hardened steel pins provide maximum safety for the boot. The footplate is supported by a double balance arch system that distributes weight evenly across the base of the stirrup frame. The apex of the frame is recessed and offset, encouraging a 45º outward angle, making it easier for the rider to find the optimal foot angle and retrieve a lost stirrup. An integrated safety arm features a two-stage release system, preventing unintentional opening. The spring-loaded safety arm clicks firmly into the base of the main frame, meaning that under maximum pressure, such as when landing over a fence, the weight of the rider is evenly distributed across the stirrup, preventing the outer side from dropping and bending. When pressure is applied to the stirrup arm, such as when the rider falls, the arm releases, allowing the foot to exit the stirrup and preventing the foot from getting stuck. The breakaway force of the stirrup arm = 36N (equal to 3.62kg) during testing, which means there is enough resistance to prevent the stirrup from accidentally opening, but the stirrup releases safely if the rider falls. Legally approved for competitions (FEI, British Dressage, British Eventing, and British Showjumping).
